Two-Shot Molded Parts

Two-colour injection molding uses one machine to inject two different materials or colors sequentially through two independent runner systems. First, the first material is injected into the primary cavity to form the base. The mold then rotates or uses a sliding mechanism to move the preform to the secondary cavity. Finally, the second material is injected to bond with the base and form a complete part. The two materials form a chemical or mechanical bond at the interface, requiring no subsequent gluing or assembly.
